Tribal People of Papua New Guinea

As many of you know from our recent update, Pete has the privilege of going to PNG with our home church team from Steinbach, Manitoba. The team will leave on December 27 and return on January 16th. From the first moment that Jessica heard about the trip, she wanted to join the team. We talked it over with the team leaders and it just didn’t seem like it was going to happen for her. The team was already full. Jessica accepted that fact but said she was still praying for a miracle!

Last week, we heard that one of the team members couldn’t get his passport issued and sadly was not able to go. We knew this was a huge disappointment for him, but it also opened a possibility for Jessica. We didn’t say anything to her, but asked the team leaders again if she could join?!

Well, with a lot of discussing with everyone & checking into tickets, Jessica was officially invited to join the team yesterday! She was so happy and amazed that God had answered her prayers! That same morning, Pete was scheduled to go to the travel clinic for his Typhoid shot. He just brought Jessica along and she was able to get one too! It all worked out so nicely.

We can’t finish this amazing story without acknowledging our home church group who so graciously gave over half of Jessica’s airfare for her to go! They have all worked so hard at raising money for the trip, doing various fundraisers and so many bake sales! You guys are AMAZING! And we are so thankful for this HUGE gift that you have given!! On top of all this, one of Jessica’s former teachers has also given her money towards the trip! Praise the Lord, He is showing Himself faithful in our children’s lives!!

Pray for Pete & Jessica as they prepare for the trip. Pray for safe travels & a blessed time in PNG!
